Our History

The Beecroft Barbarians (formerly known as the Northern Barbarians and Beecroft Cherrybrook) has a proud history spanning over 60 years, producing numerous talented rugby players, including Wallabies and Super Rugby representatives.

Our Wallaby roster includes legends such as Lachie Turner, Dean Mumm (our first Wallaby captain), Benn Robinson, Ben Alexander, Matt Dunning, Matthew Bourke, Cameron Shepherd, Ben Darwin, and most recently, Charlie Cale.

The club draws players from Cheltenham, Beecroft, Pennant Hills, West Pennant Hills, Cherrybrook, Castle Hill, Thornleigh, and Westleigh, continuing to be a nurturing ground for Australia’s future international representatives.

Currently, the club has teams ranging from Under 6’s to Under 17’s, with over 180 registered players competing in both the Saturday and Sunday Sydney Junior Rugby Union competitions.

U6’s to U9’s games are played on Saturdays, and U10’s to U17’s games are played on Sundays.
