Become a Volunteer
Our volunteers are the heart of our club!
The Beecroft Barbarians wouldn't be the club we are today without our incredible volunteers. Whether you're a seasoned rugby pro or just keen to lend a hand, there’s a place for you in our community. Volunteering is a fantastic way to get involved, meet like-minded people, and make a meaningful impact on the next generation of players.
How Can You Help?
We’re always looking for volunteers to step up in various roles, including:
Committee Members – Help steer the club’s direction and make key decisions.
Coaches – Inspire and develop our young players.
Managers – The glue that holds the team together.
Assistant Referees (ARs) – Support the game on the field.
Ground Marshals (GMs) – Ensure our games run safely and smoothly.
Canteen & BBQ Support – The real MVPs keeping everyone fuelled.
Ground Setup & Pack Down – Because rugby doesn’t happen without a field ready to go!
Why Volunteer?
Joining the Barbarian volunteer crew isn’t just about giving back; it’s about gaining so much more:
Make a Real Difference – Be part of something bigger and positively impact the club and local community.
Connect with Others – Meet fellow rugby fans and form lifelong friendships.
Be Part of the Action – Experience the excitement of game day from a whole new perspective.
Use Your Skills (or Learn New Ones!) – Coaching, organising, cooking, refereeing—there’s a role for everyone.
How to Get Started
All volunteers in an official game-day role (such as AR, GM, Coach, or Manager) must register via Rugby Xplorer. This ensures all our volunteers are properly recognised and covered within the rugby system.

Follow this step-by-step registration video to sign up.
Additionally, some roles require online training, which is available through the Rugby Xplorer Learning Centre.
Important: For teams in U10 and above, competition points may be deducted if key volunteer roles (Coach, Manager, AR, GM) are not filled and registered. Let’s not leave our teams short!
Got questions or keen to get involved? Chat with a Committee Member — we’d love to have you on board!
